This phone purchased from http://www.gearbest.com
very nice static buttons. cant wait for the end of the review!
that is good news gps can get results when indoor. interesting phone and also very low price for the specs wow
Good job for Elephone. I read recently in this forum about problematic build quality of Elephone models.
I think that's why the p3000 models disappeared for a while. Glad to see they've bounced back with the p6000

Hmm looks like the more important aspects have already been covered. Very interesting phone, no doubt. If this review ends up completely recommending this phone (looks like it, as of now), it goes in my list for my next potential 64-bit phone

As usual, another great and in-depth review.
P3000 review coming as well. The first one I purchased had serious over heating issues. Any video played threw the phone into extreme temperatures with a battery temp warning after just a minute or two, and a pop at the beginning and ending of each sound...

According to Elephone this was an engineering sample and they worked a couple of weeks to get the bugs ironed out.

The new P3000 I received is perfect and I can recommend both the P6000 and P3000 based on the copies I received.

EDIT: Since posting this, there have been some issues that have come up. I suggest anyone thinking about the phone take a look at the review in full.
Huh Man, it is really Android4.4! Nice and affordable one still.
He just finished it. So many things looking so good, but a few problems as well. Hopefully fixed in an update.
True, those issues are waaay down in the list of criteria. Would have been great if they all worked perfectly...
Perhaps Elephone should take a look at the issues. People would be much more comfortable buying this model if they got those issues down
However, considering the really really low price for the state of the hardware -- new chip set, memory specs -- its a good option, no doubt.

Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review!

I actually ordered the Elephone P3000S this week, but since it's not in stock I guess I can still cancel that order. I'm pretty much in doubt, whether I should go for the P6000 instead - what's your call?

My own reasoning for P6000:
I get the 64 bit CPU and I'm ready for Lollipop in the very near future
On the negative side, it's the first 64 bit phone with the MT6732...am I really ready as a first mover? :-)

Reasoning for the P3000S:
Octa-core phone and it looks like they corrected the build-issues they had with the P3000. Big battery.

Antutu scores looks almost similar and I guess I gain somewhat similar battery time with the two phones as the P3000S have slightly more mAh, but higher clockfrequency (correct me if I'm completely off track here?).

I'm a business user only, don't care about games and the likes. I go for stability, speed and battery time. I want LTE support as this is already quite good covered in my country (Denmark).
The P3000 issues have been addressed according to Gizbeat. He said full review coming "within a few days" You could even go with P3000 instead of P3000S. There will be little difference noticed between them.

P6000 looks very good, but see the current issues and consider if they affect you.
Hi,

Thanks for this nice and helpful review. I did purchase the phone, as pre-order on december 2014 and received it on 15th January 2015.

Very good impression.

I confirm some issues encoubterd elsewhere. USB mass storage doesn't work. The PC will not recognize the phone on "MTP" choice but only on "PTP" for pictures transfer and charge only .

GPS is not as stable as we can expected. Disruption happened frequently enough.

Last thing, that is not an issue from the phone but from myself : I did make a mistake with suoperSU, then the phone is no more rooted. How I can re-root manually. In fact, after that mistake, when I launched the SuperSU, it shows "there is none binary installed, then SuperSu cannot be installed. If you are updating from Android 4.3 etc etc etc ".

Could some one help me please ?

Regards.
