Hi!
My phone's gsm radio randomly freezing (1 or 2 days). I can't make phone call. I see the signal bars (the signal looks like normaly), but don't change, when I go to an uncovered place. The only solution is Settings -> Sim management -> Turn off then on the network.
I changed the Simcard to a new one. I checked both Sim slots. I've tried V07, V08, V09 roms, but the issue is still have.
Anybody have this problem too or known what the solution is?
My network operator: Telekom-HU (aka T-Mobile-Hu)

THX.

I have almost same problem!

Randomly my second sim card bars disapear and the little red cross near it, but no signal in either first or second sim card (first sim card freezes with 2 or 3 bars).

Happened more than once and at least once was for about half an hour.

Doesn´t work with me turn off/on sim cards, because it freezes looking for signal , have to turn off/on cellphone.
I have same problem with my V3 plus rom v06. Am using "connection stabilizer" app but doesn't fix problem - app developer is releasing a new version soon that may fix problem.
My phone loses signal sometimes as well, mostly it is data that drops out and fails to reconnect.
This happens most often when I have spent time in an area with no signal. The phone fails to reconnect when I do have signal. Sometimes I have to reboot to get connectivity back.
In all fairness though, this has happened to many of my phone's including my old Samsung Note and Note 2. I do not think this phone has been much different in that regard.
I find it necessary to reboot any phone every few days or so though I have gone over a week with the V3 plus
I have used the Play store app "Network Signal Speed Booster" in the past with a wonky HTC. I assume it does the same thing as the "connection stabilizer" app. All of which essentially do the same thing as killing the SIM card you have connected.

Some phones will absolutely freak out (read: freeze) if a third-party program attempts to kill the radio on a SIM slot that does not have a SIM in it, so there is that issue.

The app above needs to be manually hit in order for the radios to be deactivated and reset with new network information. This can be a hassle.

This, however, may be worth a shot:

I eventually "fixed" this annoying problem, of which HTC was no help at all, by simply going to Settings and using the "Scheduled power on & off" once in the very early morning (5 minutes apart), set to "every day". The power on time was set to be exactly 1 minute before my alarm was to go off as the noise of power-up was loud enough to be an alarm itself.

Don't forget to make sure and modify it for the weekend if you like to sleep in!!
Cheers for tips - I already do a schdeuled power on and off each day.

True to their word, connection stabilizer has been updated this morning so that for rooted phones the app will automatically force the phone in and out of aeroplane mode so the phone doesn't freeze anymore. Can change the intervals between reconnecting to prevent battery drain.

Will update if I experience any problems.

Excellent!

Tell us how it works out (or doesn't).
Maybe I found a solution. I found an app, which automatically switch on/off the airplane mode (that mean reset the cell radio connection). I installed Times Toggles app from Playstore. In the app settings I set every hour-> Airplane mode on, then 1 minute later ->Airplane mode off (example: Airplane mode on: 8.00, Airplane mode off: 8.01) I made tasks for every hours, but i think I will make for every half an hour.
In the app settings I tick the "Postpone if in use", if the phone is active (like in calling or the screen is on) the app doesn't run the actually task.
This app required root your phone. This is not a real solution, but maybe a little bit help for us.
Sorry for my bad english.

I'm just wondering, what about if changing the modem img to another one?
I read in another forum (Lenovo P780 and S850), some people has the same problem and they solved the issue with changing the modem driver.
Is this possible?
I can't reproduce your problem. Someone talked about this on needrom.com as well, but I checked, and it turns out to be you, pitykeee Big Grin.

Best of luck!
Exeleration-G: Yes, that was me Big Grin

I tried another thing on my system: I went into the /data/nvram/md/NVRAM folder.
I renamed the NVD_DAT folder to NVD_DATbak (actually made a backup from the original NVD_DAT files), then made a Reboot. The OS made new files under NVD_DAT.
Since then my phone is on 78 hours ago, and no problem.
This operation require root.

Before the process, I'm disabled the "airplane mode schedule", what I'm wrote in my previous post. So my phone is working on 78 hours ago without any tricky app .
