Rom for JLINKSZ k960

What is the ref. of your motherboard?

br

Hi marchefeu,
sadly the specs from the shop where I bought it were fake, but it would take ages to give it back. Its a 9,7" tablet and as far as I can see, the flash is 16 GB and ram is 1GB.
Chipset ist MT8310a. As I found out, this chip ist equal to mt6580. The same as in the specs of your tablet. The rest you see in the pics.
I guess because of the different screensize, I can not use your firmware?
I would need to find the correct firmware to Flash it.
I downladed your firmware, but again, the scatter file contains different filenames to the zip Container. In the scatter file I have got e.g. custom.img and in the zip Container e.g. JBKB072L0.img. Do you use a different Flash tool to SPFlash. How does the file linking work from the scatter file, when you Flash?
I guess I miss a step, but don't find this Information.

fire

For those who have problems with the scatter file not linking the files, I found the solution:
If the scatter files Suffix Ends with .txt you use the SP Flash tool to link the files and with the .scr scatter files you Need wiselink or jlink Flashtool.
Here is the Information:

Hi Fire,
just one question you say you have a MT8310 but on picture you post I see a MT8321A ...

For the moment , I don't find software that recognize these files...
Wiselinktool say "Handsets baseband chip is unknown type. Please check DA and BROM DLL are no thesame version (Error code= 1018)" when I select .sca (tested with different ROM)
And SP Flash Tool open .sca but the list of file it display below seem not consistent with my file...
Even so I have test to flash it with file proposed by SP FLash and it was bricked but always recognized by computer...

hi marchefeu,
you are right, chipset is MT8321a, just a typing failure. This chipset is recognized as MT6580. I found now the right link between scatter files and Firmware. With the wiselink tool I can load the scatter file, where I see the linking and then create a new scatter txt file (notepad++) for SP Flash tool. Here I can Flash the different Firmware Version for testing.
I flashed accidently the preloader and had alwasy Enable DRAM failed! ERROR 4032. In this case you have to Flash a correct preloader. Mine was in the jlinks Image of K960_v3.0 vKB072L_GMS the M3 Preloader.
In the Attachement you find a scatter txt file for vKB005A which you can use in the SP Flash tool to Flash this Firmware.
I'm now back to bootloop and trying to find the right Firmware combination. K960_v3.0 vKB072L_GMS scatter file is broken, or I can't read it with wiselink tool.
Now I downloaded from jlinks the beTools which is similiar to the wiselink tool.
Here the scatter files .scr of the jlinks images work.

Attached Files
.txt   KMT6580_EMMC_K960_V1.0_BIAOMAXINCHEN-D13.txt (Size: 9.53 KB / Downloads: 202)

hi,
I use the Betools to load the scatter (.sca) file, so I know the file to partition linking, but then manually (Notepad) produce a txt scatter out of the .sca File to Flash it with the SP Flash Tool . Here everything works fine, I just need to format the flash sometimes. So I am sure the partitions setup is o.k. and that I load the correct files to the partitions.
I am on android screen, after startup, which is a progress. Keep you up to date if I sucess with one of the jlinks firmwares.

Hi again Fire ,

I finally succeeded to flash my tablet.
My procedure:
1 - download Betools , .key and your firmware from jlinsz ftp server
2 - Download and run USBDeview, and uninstall MTK Preloader - CDC Data
Keep it open during operation, it permit to know if your tablet is on or not
3 - Install Betools and Drivers save in his installation folder
4 - connect your tablet and be sure it was off
5 - Run Betools , load right .sca and power on your tablet

Tested on windows 7 64bits
Tablet restart but I have flash vKB072L firmware (firmware initially installed) and finally my tablet become a vFA036Q.... and initially it was a model K107 an become S960. I wil test more...
don't understand... now i will test all!!!

Hi, I see I see ... my tablet was bricked now... :-(
I am not sure but I think only folder D13 and vkb000C firmware are authentic firmware, because with betools , it see only one cpu model and with the other firmware have always 2 differentes CPU models (this appear when I move cursor on opened file .sca)
Strangely vkb000c was at the root of ftp...

Perhaps this information will help someone.
