At total 16 hours with the battery of W8 the 7:30 with the screen on is pretty amazing. Check the attachments

So once again I am on a mission to try and find a similar battery that will fit the phone and maybe get a manufacturer to make a battery with higher capacity.

I found a phone called the Star Q5000 which normally comes with a 2500mAh battery. Design looks very similar to our phones, but it is a bit thicker according to the specifications. Trying to contact the seller to find out the physical size of the battery. Has anybody considered this battery before?

@nikstar: do you charge the battery onside the phone or with an external battery charger?
Usually how long does it take for the battery to get a full charge??
Is the battery status accurate??

@kavirz : how long do you think this process takes ? From the begining to the time that we receive the battery personally?

I expect them to be able to make the battery within a week and the cheapest option would be for China Post to your specific country, and that normally can take up to 35 days if not more.

The hard part is finding a manufacturer to make like 100 pieces. That would be the most important as I cannot fund more then that at the moment. And hoping he offers drop shipping so anybody who wants can order through me, as the batteries will be paid in full prior to the start of the manufacturing process.

I think if you even make them to take the responsibility for selling them , it would be better for you yourself.

I agree danyno1. I spoke to over 5 manufacturer's and they all require a minimum of 1000 pieces. Not even sure if that amount has been sold so far. Think the issue is with creating a custom battery, and it only works in one phone that has a limited amount of sales.

I think right now, the THL W8 is the best solution. Wish I could but 100 pieces of that and do the mod, redo the stickers, and sell them. Would allow people to buy a strong THL W8 battery that needs no modification and would make like easier.

I am charging it on the phone, no use of external charger and I cannot tell how long it takes to full charge because I am using another charger (from a Nokia phone I had) which is 1000mAh. I think it takes about ~2 and a half hours.

The battery status from 85 to zero is ok. I am not sure yet about the first 15%.
I think it drops faster than after 85%.
To get an idea it took about 4 hours at a standby and one call (1min) to drop from 100% to 85%.
But I am always checking the voltage before I disconnect the charger. If it is lower than 4,196 I reconnect it again for 5-6 minutes and then I am OK.
(I have two sims in the phone, 3g on, data on, wifi always on, viber on, and email is synchronizing once per hour and I do not know what other apps are wasting my battery cause I am not using any battery saving app)

The mods at W8 battery are extremely easy. Everyone can do it.

Of course there are a lot units more than 1500 sold. I'm sure about that.
You can check online shops sale count.
Shops like aliexpress, banggood, 1949deal, to2c , and etc..
And a lot more are sold to local Chinese people.
Also Offer them what i said in the previous post..

Results are excellent, and we see that the screen has been turned on 7:30 hrs. For me it is amazing for such a cheap phone and battery, but this shows us the pictures, so please if you're 100% sure that the screen light Up 7:30 hrs? And trust you much more than this phone
