My battery has a poor duration
#1
Hello, I've just purchased Innos D6000 because I am very demanding with the battery life of my mobile phones, but I may have a problem. Yesterday I received the phone, connect it to charger until both batteries were at 100% and completely charged. Today, I have been using it for 30 minutes and the external battery has reached 90%... Look at this link:
[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
It says that phone is capable of offering 13 hours of screen on.
I don't think my Innos D6000 will offer 13 hours, because of the rate the battery percentage is decreasing until now.
I let you know that vibration, wi-fi, data, bluetooth and so on are off and display brightness is the lowest.
Why is my battery decreasing so quicly?

Give it some time. Install GSAM and use the phone normally for a week or so, so that the batteries will discharge and charge a few times. Also, if it sat overnight at 100% it will lose juice if it was still on.

You can expect to get a minimum of about 10 hours onscreen over 24 hours. That test was done straight and playing video.

Here is my result over 24 hours. Not bad! 6 hours and not even half depleted. Mostly using WiFi on low brightness. Chat and Facebook and email stuff like that.

I will post it again when I'm closer to depleted.

Thank you very much. I am currently in the first discharge cycle but cause I received the phone yesterday and for now it seems that my batteries do not go as good as yours. Even built in battery is at 98 % now, and since external still has a lot of charge I do not understand why the built in has lost 2% since last night. I am not liking this...

I know people hate to be told "calm down" when they're worked up about something... But guess what... : D

Regarding the 2% lost on internal, if a battery sits unused it will lose some juice. Especially if connected to a system, even though there's no draw. It happens to mine too. You can expect to see internal go down to sometimes 95% or so while it's using the external. It's no big deal.

Did you do as I suggested? Download gsam and use your phone normally over the next few days. Avoid letting it sit on the charger over night because that keeps the phone awake and trickle charge doesn't kick in until it's lost a significant amount of juice.

I downloaded GSam. In this first cycle I have until now 30 min screen on and batteries are external at 80% and internal at 97%... You had 5 hours screen on when your external battery was at 50%. When I am at 50% I guess screen use will be only 1h 30m. This is very strange. I am losing 20% each 30 min of screen on. It is too much.

EDIT: when I installed GSam I had already been using screen for 20 min so total time is 50 min. My external battery loses 20% every 50 min or about a 25% every hour. But this means that when external battery is down I will have 4 hours of screen. Should be 7-10 hours. This is very strange.

One question, that supposed 10-13 hours screen on until both batteries run out of energy, are with the battery saver mode on? I have it setted off because it came that way by default.
For now, it seems that my phone will not take as much as 10-13 hours with screen on. It will be pretty less than that.

Another thing to take into account, when I received the phone, first thing I did was connect it to charger instead of depletting batteries first and then connect it. That was correct?

Use the battery for a few days. Put it through a few cycles. Then see how things are going. Don't leave it on the charger over night before you start your testing. When it gets to 100% charged on both batteries, take it off the charger and begin using. Also check GSAM for "Held Awake" to make sure it's deep sleeping okay. And no, I'm not in Battery Saver mode.

Thank you so much, I will do some testing and then post here again. GSam is saying that calculated screen on time when battery reaches 0 will be only 5 hours. You say that should be more than 7 and I agree with you. Thats why I am so worried about this. I expect my screen on time to get bigger on these days.

Also, it sounds like you might have the same problem I have: chronic charging. I've got this inherent fear of running out of battery (and running out of time to charge my battery before going places to prevent me from running out of battery while I'm out). Consequently, I'm perpetually topping off a bit of charge here and a bit of charge there.

As it turns out, this is bad for overall battery life.

I once read an article that said the "sweet spot" for a battery was between 40 and 80 percent on the phone. It liked being there, so don't charge unless you're really on the bottom end of that, and don't worry too much about the range that's above 80 percent.

After I tried that, my battery life significantly improved. Significantly. Slower drain, more reported on-screen time. It was kinda awesome.

Of course, now I'm back to my old ways and perpetually fretting about not having enough battery. Gotta make that mental shift again. Thanks for the reminder, mate!

But it is yet my first discharge cycle. I received the phone yesterday, turn it on, both batteries were approximately at 50% and I charged it until both reached 100%. Today I am using it normally and for the moment, external battery is discharging so that when it reaches 0% I will only have 5 hours with screen on. People there say that external battery holds even more than 7 hours of screen on, so I don't understand why the mine only will last for 5 hours.
