[Question] DOOGEE DG580 USB connection to PC

Hi all

New member here. When I connect my DOOGEE DG580 to my computer using an USB data cable, nothing happens. My computer does not see the phone at all. I'm running Windows 8.1 on the PC side, USB Debugging under Developer's Optons is enabled.

Am I missing something? Same PC and data cable can see my other Android devices as mass storage devices, but not the DOOGEE. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Had the same problem on my DG580. The physical port on the USB cable was too short to fit properly into the phone. I had to pull the metal part of the cable and pull back the plastic casing to expose more of the contact before the phone could connect.

What exactly are you trying to do? If it's something like flash the phone you will need ADB drivers installed.

It was a cable and DG580 housing issue. As Hammer pointed out, the case of the DG580 makes most micro USB plug too short for a full contact. I switched to another USB cable with a longer metal plug and it solved the problem.
