@nikstar , At this point junkpod seems to just be saying he and others have fixed the bug, and in my eyes junkpod is just trying to help other users out. Let's cut him some slack and calm down a bit.

Have you ever read my words? The mod is work for SOLVE THE 3G-CALL BUG. Thats prooven on my and others phone, at several times.
I have asked you about a million times about if you read that topic but I get a million different answers but not a YES or a NOT.
Believe me, it will help you a lot. Or probably you think that you have change band on your phone and this topic will not provide to you any help, since you achieve it!
PS I am glad you fixed one of your problems..
I have read that topic now and in the past. There was no any text about deleting nvdata folder.
I have not just changed the modem img but deleted nvdata and let the system regenerate that nvdata folder by itself.
Please, please, please anybody who is suffering from the 3G-call bug try my suggestion.
Fact: nobody reported that this mod doesnt work.
Anything else is just typing for nothing (me and you both)

If it's been done, please show it. That's it. If I had a 850/2100 and had switched it to 900 and lived in a 900 area, I wouldn't hesitate to show it. It's a 3 minute process and a few minutes to upload.
It's extremely curious that nobody wants to step forward and show it in the works.
Also, I'm not referring to the 3g error @junkpod is referring to. That's likely a completely different thing. Unfortunately the two have become intertwined in the thread.

Actually I have done it to my miui rom and it shows 900. But you all need to know that the the 3G hangup tone/error has nothing to do with if you are on 850 or 900. The problem exist in offical rom 1.08 and up because the nvfolder exist by default. You eliminate the 3G problem when you delete the nvram folder in \Data\

I am saying all this because, as you said, in order to swap bands on your phone, you did something that some others trying at the past with no success.
If it says at engineering mode that you have 900, doesn't mean that you actually have it! You know that.
Also you said that you do not have a sim card of an operator that is at 900mhz band, but WHY don't you try a sim from a friend of you???
Or NONE of your friends are not subscribed to that network??
So do that and post results. I cannot test it in my country cause as I said before I do not know where my operator has those 900mhz antenna's.

I live in the capital and there is a provider who uses 900 in countryside. Thats why I ask the audience to test. I cannot and neither interested in it.

I confirm it. I switched back the modem file to 850 and deleted the nvdata again and the calling during H+ session works.
Question: in a new rom, where can I switch off this nvram flashing by default?

You need to reboot after deselecting 2000.
This is not a difficult process.
1. MTK engineering and deselect 2000
2. Power down and remove battery and show label 850/2100
3. Power up and show 2000 still deselected
4. Show H+
