@bertmansk: change directly via build.prop is the easiest way.
I have installed the file manager "X-Plore" (imho the best), open, go to settings, full root access & show hidden files = activate. The file buid.prop is in root/system. Long tap on buid.prop, text edit, search "lcd", change to (320). Reboot.

Sweeeet! Thx for the tip! I'm using ES FileExplorer and i seemed not to be able to write back the build.prop file even if i have SU permission. The X-Plore app did the trick with the 'mount as writable' option. Now im running in glorious 320 setting! The screen estate is awesome. Everything looks as it should do on a HD screen!!
