I changed it by using Xposed framework and PerAppSettings MOD. Changed the 'settings' app to 213 (I think), so you get tablet mode in your settings-screen (main menu on the left of the screen, settings on the right).
The benefit of using Xposed is that you only need to install other MODs to be able to fully customize your phone.

I installed the Xposed framework and the the App Settings Module. But when I change the DPI for "settings" to 213, nothing happens. Am I missing something?

How did you mange to have 7 Apps per row on the homescreen?

I'm using GoLauncher Ex; that's the best launcher there is IMHO. You can put up to 10 icons in a row / column and change the size.

Ok, I checked the settings for the 'settings screen', they are:

-> com.android.settings

DPI 340; font scale 100 (you can make these smaller, like 250 and 90 or so, depending on how good your eyesight is ;-) ).
DPI 1000x1600 (that's the important setting to get the tablet-mode)

That should do it.

And don't forget to save ;-)

I don't get it. I made the settings as you wrote (see screenshot) but if i open settings, it still looks the same as before.

Hm, don't know why this doesn't work... have you rebooted your phone after applying the PerAppSetting-MOD? And you did save the new settings (when you do so, it asks if it's ok to restart the app)? Just trying to figure out why this doesn't work for you...

Also, make sure that after you have installed the Framework, to click 'install/update'. This is crucial!

what do yu mean by "applying" the PerAppSetting-MOD? I downloaded it (App Settings [1.5]) from the download tab and configured the settings under the modules tab
save settings (with asking to restart app) --> done
no effect

You first need to activate the MOD by 'ticking' the MOD in the Framework to activate it. So, go to Exposed -> modules -> tick 'app settings' and I think you need to reboot then. Then you can adjust your settings in App Settings.

With Density changer, nothing.
