[Question] Help needed for custom recovery for Neken N6?

try to make yr own recovery
yr phone need to be rooted

run the mtk droid root n tool, connect yr phone to the computer
make sure u see a green box at the left bottom corner

then choose the option "to use boot from phone"
then hit "recovery and boot"
then a dialog box will pop up
"to make CWM recovery automatical"
then hit yes
then another dialod box will pop out something like to flash the boot image, then hit no

after another pop up " u want to flash the recovery" then hit yes then u should have yr CWM recovery installed


edit:
if u don't see the green box, u see yellow box, then hit the button "root"
then let it run for 20 sec, then unplug yr phone, then reconnect yr phone to the computer, then u see the box change from yellow to green

Success! Thank you very much stevenma61 for your help. I managed to get cwm onto my Neken N6. I created the patched recovery file in mtk tools but it fa iled to flash the image. Instead mobileuncle was able to flash it. Here is the link to recovery image with working cwm:

Its CWM 5.5.0.4

that is the last version MTK6582 accepts ....at least to my i6000....I can't installed any other version of CWM ..tried all methods...

Whats the benefit of a later version? It was the version that the latest version of MTK tools patched for me. I think it has looked the same and had the same options since version 4.xx

I have just received my Neken N6 and was about to install a new rom. I had successfully rooted the device and then was trying to flash

the recovery with SP Flash Tool.

After the recovery flashed my phone refuses to turn on I believe its somehow bricked but have no idea how this could have happened. I did

format flash i only downloaded the recovery to the device.

When I try to use SP Tool to flash the stock Rom back onto the device I get an error saying 'BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL(4032)'

I have no idea what to do next can someone help me.

two possibilities

1- u are using older veriosn of flash tool , u have to use SP flash tool v3.1316 or later

2- yr preloader is not matching ( unlikely, since the phone it quite new, and it is likely still the same one batch from factory)
