[ROM] Vernee Apollo X - STOCK ROM and TWRP
#41
Hello people,
thanks for the modding guide for Apollo X!
I have one little question: instead of booting TWRP through adb everytime (steps 15-16), can I simply flash the TWRP image by the specific field in SP Flash Tool, in order to be able to boot into TWRP whenever and wherever I want, without the need for the pc?

Dear @Etk9

There is a reason why I suggest to boot the twrp through adb Smiling

This is because the touch screen does not work.
If you flash the twrp by SP Flash Tool, the touch screen will does not work.
If you flash the twrp by SP Flash Tool,
the only way to use the twrp will be an OTG-USB adapter with a mouse.

Dear @"Cleopatra"

Thank you for your answer!

May I know why the touch screen sensor would not work if I'll flash twrp?

I've seen that on Apollo Lite (pretty similar hardware) people flash twrp and it does work fine! Undecided

Wink

It is also available under arch (but error has the install)
I look at your post and I'll keep you posted tomorrow
thanks again
Anyway if you get me to do it again, I will not root it or have twrp.
But I would like it to work with original (version 64go)
Thank you again for your help
Thumbs UpThumbs Up

I do not have access to debian or ubuntu, I will try on archlinux
If not how do we see that it recognizes the telephone? Should it be in fastboot mode? etc.
You have news?

Hello.

If I knew the secret of the "evil" touch screen ... probably I could fix it.

It's annoying. Can you suggest me something please?

@Etk9 :

I have tested my twrp many times before to post it here.
I have had no problems like your problem.

I think I know what this is.

Do you have unlocked the bootloader ?
If so, please follow VERY carefully the next steps :

1) Reboot onto twrp recovery.

VITAL :

2) Make a backup of the NVRAM onto your microSD.
3) Turn off your phone
4) Download the next stock rom :

[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

5) Flash it by SP Flash Tool - Format All + Download option

##################################################

Clarification about Format All + Download option :

BE SURE to have made the backup of your NVRAM !

The Format All + Download option will destroy your NVRAM (your IMEIs) !

Use this option ONLY if you have the backup of NVRAM !

I suggest you to make a backup of NVRAM by TWRP onto microSD.

The Format All + Download option is the only way to lock properly the bootloader.

The fastboot command (fastboot oem lock) it is NOT enough !
Why is it not enough ? Please take a look :

(bootloader) warranty: no Confused

Instead, with Format All + Download option, NOW take a look :

(bootloader) warranty: yes Wink

#####################################################

6) Flash the TWRP by SP Flash Tool.
7) Reboot onto twrp recovery.
8) Restore the backup of NVRAM.

I hope this did something to help someone Smiling
