I get a pm from developer. It's real KitKat,but in development state. The display driver not workink at this time.

It might still be in development state, but that is still progress. Means that it is almost ready after waiting almost 2 months.

Off topic, I have installed Tsunami Rom and it is a lot better then stock. Quite faster. Doing a full test with it to see if it is any better battery wise.

Interesting thing is that the GPS works correctly. I was swinging on my chair and on google maps, it showed me spinning. That to me is a good sign that there is hope with getting this device perfect. Will do some more tests over the weekend for the GPS and give feedback next week.

Lets hope that this Kitkat rom is released soon.

When and if this kitkat rom becomes available, does one have to pull a McGyver or Chuck Noris to update his phone (i.e. rooting, xxxxx) this is my first china phone and I am learning that these unit do require some actual knowledge to update.

with Tsunami ROM?? reboot the phone a couple of times and prove, sometimes is convenient to reboot after flashing.

I also use One power guard to save battery.

That is stated some Hungarian co-brand dealer have beta_Kit-Kat for testing. So there should be a more useable version out there

Yesterday I changed from tsunami to the latest marsapa and it seems even better!

Was not sure whether to use the marsapa rom as the comments show that it might have some issues if I remember correctly. Will have a look later and see if it is worth the upgrade. I am just over the moon that the GPS works. lol

That is very good news. Maybe one of the re-sellers will be able to give us a copy to test. At least this time maybe the screen drivers will work. lol.
