AFAIK, V3 also has one, at least the hardware part. Software part is not yet done (maybe that's why it's not visible to sensor apps), but we hope that will be implemented soon in one of the future updates. The question I posted even before anyone has started discussing about it both here and on XDA, was only about if it's already supported in the newest firmware, or was it some app that simulates air gesture effects, which turned out to be true soon after when the video uploader answered to me in the comments on youtube.
The sensors next to the front camera are probably proximity and brightness sensor, use an app like sensor toolbox to check whether I'm right or not.
If think that if iNew will implement the air gesture functionality, it will rely on the front camera.
Then what's up with "LED Motion akka. Air Gesture" thing they have been advertising? Same story as with 6.5mm? If air gesture will rely on the front camera, then I'm not interested at all. That drains the battery like hell. No thanks. Like the battery isn't weak already.
I understand the anger about the 6.5mm issue and Air Gesture promises, although, with all these things put aside, the iNew V3 phone is one pretty fine phone. I even like it better than the very good Umi X2 because the V3 is much lighter and much faster.

I could give a crap about air gesture or the 6.5mm advertising. It does shine badly on iNew, but practically speaking, I wouldn't want the phone any thinner. 1830mA is normal for a phone this thin. Standard is 2000mA on a 9mm 5" phone, so this is just what it should be. They put a good phone together for a good price. There's no better value out there right now.

The biggest issue currently is the charging past 80% problem many have been facing. This is a hardware issue, but I charge my batteries externally, so it's a non-issue as well.
I agree with what you both said. I just wanted to say that relying air gesture on front camera is a very bad idea, since the camera must be on for the whole time in order to use air gesture, and that drains the battery pretty fast. That's all. I bought it despite all "flaws" that it has, because I also know there are many other things which make V3 great.
