Hello Cleo, thank you for your hard work. I would like to ask you something.
To flash a stock rom do I have to unlock the bootloader for the rom to work?

I am asking because I was on the latest android 6 firmware and the device asked me to upgrade to Nougat. The upgrade failed and I have tried to upload with sp flash tool the nougat firmware formating the flash but nothing. I tried to downgrade, also nothing. I can go to fastboot mode and into recovery, I can flash the twrp images that you have made but for fcks sake I cannot boot the device. So I have concluded that something in the bootloader don't let me to boot the device because the sp flash tool finishes without error and from the recovery I can mount the system partition.

Yesterday I have tried to unlock the bootloader with fastboot, I could sent the command (fastboot oem unlock) to the device, the device asked me to press vol + to unlock the bootloader but immediately fails. I have read that I need a code from the company to unlock the bootloader. Have you tried to unlock the bootloader with fastboot? Did it need a code?

Because I wouldn't expect the nougat update to fail I haven't enabled the oem unlock option and the usb debugging options from the system ui when it was working fine.
