Just to clarify - E is not 3G. E is 2G.

H = 3G
E = 2G
G = 1G

GPRS GSM EDGE - These are all on the same frequency. Your initial reply to my earlier statement "Mine is E, I can force G but not H." may lead some to conclude that E is 3G. So I was just clearing up possible confusion with those who may be following the thread.

To clarify things further - G is not 1G. G is GPRS. GPRS is 2G. EDGE is a bit quicker but still on the GSM frequency.
hi burs, i read your post and i want to change the base band too, but i need the 2013/11/01 baseband (because i need the wcdma 850 mhz), my phone says in the sticker 850/2100, but it is 900/2100, my baseband is 2014/02/15,, do you know where to download inew v3 baseband 2013/11/01??? thanks
(Sorry for my bad English)

I read the whole post, and I think we can arrive to the conclusion that we wouldn`t be able to change Bands by software, then....

I re open this post asking, which hardware should we change? must we change the motherboard? or just a chip?

I`m from Argentina, my cellphone works in 900mhz, but I need 850mhz!

May be changing motherboard with someone who has 850mhz? May be we can get some place to buy spare parts where to get what is need?
Maybe you should buy another phone!
The cell phones have only one small board that contains everything such cpu, gpu, ram. rom. modem everything! This board is pretty much the PHONE!
So there is not a part for replacing.
Try to sell this one and buy a new one.
Can that work on galaxy s4 mt6572 4.2.2 real alps v1 469 ram 1.3Ghz processor dual core? contact me on [email protected] pls
Hello!

I don't know where to put this topic, so I'm here.

I have a problem with the signal (inew v3, v1.1.1), as you can see in the links (screenshots).
Does anyone know how to solve it?

Thanks!
