Hi there fellows, I'm from Bangladesh!
In the past week I bought a re-branded android call symphony w125.....

the chipset is mt5689 and yes it is quad core......actually it's a re-branding of Gionee GN708W of FLY IQ446......
Now, let me get you to the point, though it's just a re-branding, but symphony seems to have done something with their lot, so that we can't install any custom

ROM by CWM........ Confused

so I decided to flash it with another rom of FLY IQ446 with sp flash tool v3.1304.0.119 , so that I can install custom roms!
then I loaded the scatter file and then clicked on firmware>upgrade
the process started and finished with a green circle, that means it's ok!

but when i tried to open my mobile it refuses to start up........ Crying
I assume I've installed the wrong preloader! Doh

now when I connected the device it wasn't caught by computer with the battery plugged in..........
then after removal of the battery it showed USB Modem Port......... This sucks
i uninstalled the driver then re-installed vcom driver, then it showed MTK Usb port in the device manager, which was earlier MediaTek Preloader Vcom

...........

now when I tried to flash again the stock rom with Sp flash tool v3.1304.0.119 the red progress bar filled, then no nothing!!! Vampire
after about 41 sec. the error occurred! Lost It

[attachment=289]

i tried several times with different version but same result Can't look

can someone plz help me toUNBRICK it?
I'll be eternally grateful! Embarrased
thanks in advance and sorry for my long post! Tongue Big Grin
Is the phone completely dead? Can you boot into recovery?
no nothing Sad Sad
Then you are likely hard bricked as your topic suggests. You'll need someone with a Volcano box and experience flashing China phones.

I believe there was a guy with a similar error who kept trying different firmware until he finally found firmware that he was able to flash. The phone still didn't work, but after that, he was able to flash back to stock.

i am not too sure if the spflash tool can pass tru the enable dram fail 4032

any way u can try

1- MTK droid root n tools ( i assume that u already have)
2 - SP flash tool v3.1316
3 - backup rom ( that u previously backup with the MTK droid root n tool)
- let me name yr back up rom as "ROM_AAA"

now run the mtkdroid root n tools.
hit the tab "root, backup ,recovery"
then hit the button "To prepare blocks for Flash Tool"
then choose the ROM_AAA, then choose "file.md5"
then let it process, after finish( take about 10 over minutes)
then u should see a file name "!Files_to_FlashTool" under the file folder "ROM_AAA"

now run the SP flash tool, then the scatter the file
choose the scatter file from file folder "!Files_to_FlashTool"
then hit the button "Download"

now connect yr phone (without the battery) to yr computer, if everything is ok, it should be able to finish in about 2/3 minutes, then the geen circle.
then u are done, put back the battery, reboot the phone

i think the main prob is when flashing the wrong preloader, the phone is dead and i don't know how to load the correct preloader back into the phone...
