Philips Resurfacing With The S398

While some aren’t fully aware, Philips is much more diverse than great quality audio. Philips has recently announced on their Indian website about an upcoming phone model, S398.

This is a successor to one of the two Philips smartphones released back in August.

The S398 will be sporting a MediaTek SoC, particularly the MT6582M, clocked at 1.3GHz. It is packed with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of phone storage, which is expandable with up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phone comes with a 5.0 inch IPS display with 720p resolution, and a camera spec set of 8MP for the primary snapper, and 2MP for the secondary front-facing camera.

The physical build of the phone strongly resembles the iOcean X7 models and the more recent Elephone G6, with its slightly arced chin. The capacitive buttons may give some confusion at the beginning, with the Back and Menu buttons flipped, similar to the ASUS ZenFones.
