Elephone P3000 review Antutu / Asphalt 8
The Elephone P3000 scored 18k on Antutu. This is about standard for MT6582 and actually a quite decent result given the 720p display.
The P3000 can run modern 3D games fluently and scored a 28-30fps average on Asphalt 8 (default settings).
Elephone P3000 review mic / earpiece / external speaker
The earpiece on the P3000 is very good and I needed to turn the sound down in a couple of phone calls because it was too loud. The mic works without issue and there was never any problems with the other parties hearing me.
The external speaker can be rated as good. It’s not exceptionally loud, but the quality is decent and while watching YouTube movies voices can easily be heard and understood.
Elephone P3000 review display
The 5.0″ 720p OGS/IPS display on the P3000 is excellent. At the bottom of the display, there is minor evidence of where the LED lights are situated, but this doesn’t detract from the display on the P3000. All corners are free of light bleed.
The viewing angles are excellent, and this display, in terms of how it looks, can be rated as outstanding. Colors are very rich and not washed out. A top display Elephone chose for the P3000 and one of the better 720p displays I’ve seen.
Elephone P3000 review camera / images / pictures
The camera on the P3000 is outstanding for the price of the phone. Dynamic range is good, there’s no evidence of heavy artifacting or sharpening even when cropping to 100%.
The color rendition is very good and in some of these pictures you see the colors really pop (see the aloe shot), and not in an unrealistic way, but in a natural way which shows what the scene really looks like.
Take a look at the images below. These pictures are all SOOC (straight out of camera) with zero editing. The square images are 100% crops of 8MP images.
This is a very good camera Elephone has chosen for the P3000, not just in comparison to sub-$200 China phones, but to all phones in general.
The flash is quite strong as well. It can be looked at straight on, but shines bright and isn’t easy to look at for more than a second. Using it as a flashlight in my pitch black yard exposed a wide area to brightness.

Elephone P3000 review GPS
GPS on the Elephone P3000 is very good. Connecting indoors under concrete without any problem and outdoors several satellites hit high-30’s and occasionally even mid-40’s.

If the worst thing you can say about a phone is that the back piece absorbs fingerprints, you’ve got a big winner.
