Sometimes after flashing or a factory reset something go wrong and loose data on nvram. For sure you have loose your IMEI. You can try mtkdroidtoools (IMEI repair).

I restored your NVRAM and another's people...without sucess
I supose that after restore from backup you have done a factory reset. In my device I have to do factory reset 2 times because wifi does not turn on.
I don'y know exactly what happens...Rom works properly?wifi works? When connect to mtkdroidtools...shows imei number....
I want to help you. If you need I can backup my IMEI with mobileuncletools app and you can try to restore from this.

I´m be looking for a flash the original ROM for your Phone. In the moment I can´t give you my ROM backup. There is inside all my pers. Identity and IMEI´s from my Phone. I´m look for solution for you. Please take a while - I´m 2-3 times in the week in Hospital for Therapy.
Later I give you more Space for your Internal Storage. In the Moment it is only 1Gb. I have found, how to increase the internal Storage to 2.5 GB - 1.5GB from Fat-Partition. Fat-Partition you don´t use. I have about 200 Apps installed. The Phones runs without hangs. One of the Best is the Battery time - about 2-3 days.

Listen: I have tried - I think about 10-12 Lenovo A850 ROM´s. Only the AOSP-ROM works. And here, I changed the boot.img, that the Phone would be start. The ROM is not bad - all the Storage Size displayed correct. One misstake: The Cam doesn´t work!

From the information you and Louis gave me I found the screen on-off effect while using the phone app is caued by an intermitent 1 and 0 proximity sensor reading in FAR position. The reading is an stable 0 in NEAR position.
I need to recalibrate the sensor, there is a proximity sensor calibration aplication however I can not find it in the market.
I have used MTK engeeniring app but it fails to set the new calibration values. I rooted my phone with Franroot.

No one has touched the the phone but me.
I found the calibration app and atempted to install it. I get a No installed app message, it is for a different sensor I gess.
What it bugs me is why the MTK eneeniring app reads new values for near and far but does not write them
