I can confirm flashing from 1.0.4 to 1.0.8 with 1.0.8 rooted + pre inst. CWM
without any problem.
camera F2.0 - much better photos
gps working fine (first time 10 min. to find 7-10 satellites),
next time connection time under 30 sec.
battery life - not checked yet.

okay. If I got it right it´s just a backup from gps-relevant files of the 1.0.6 version...

Yes, i taken 3 files from original 1.0.6 rom, this was the only idea i had to solve AGPS problem.
after further tests, i think the guilty is only the file /system/xbin/libmnlp_mt6582
i wish to ask to all V3 owner with this 1.0.8 rooted + CWM, if you have lags (or better low frame rate) when you watch video on m.youtube.com.

I don't know why all the people nag about video playback on inew v3.
instead of using youtube app, watch videos directly on browser (Chrome / stock android browser) and it will be fine.
