Hello, i bought this phone from Aliex, which said the following specs:

MTK 6592 @ 2.0 ghz
RAM 3gb
Mali 450 gpu
ROM 8gb
Display FHD
Android 4.4.2

Obviously i discovered the hardware specs were fake. This is a MT 6582M @ 1,3ghz, QHD, 2GB ROM, only RAM seems it's really 3GB cause i can't find a software to verify if it's fake. If someone could help...

4.4.2 is fake, it's really well done and stable but i think it's a 4.2.2 mod.

Anyway, is there any chance to find a clean ROM of 4.2.2. with real hardware specs?

The build is an alps.jb5.mp.v1.6
baseband: moly.wr8.w1315.mmd.wg.mp.v11.p4
hardware version: t8260_wc_yl_32_8_lenovo_gps_w


Do you think i can try with the original Lenovo A850 Rom?

Once you get that refund come over and browse or ask the forum sponsors for a good deal, they offer discounts as you can see.

In addition to what @aus9 has mentioned, if you decide to keep it, I'd recommend not playing with new ROMs given that you're unsure of what phone you even have and especially because the ROM you have now is fine.

You may be able to edit ROM version in build.prop if it's really important for you for it to read 4.2 instead of 4.4.

It's extremely unlikely the real a850 ROM will work. If it does, it's by chance, not by design and likely many things will be broken if it works at all.

It's not possible that your phone has 3gb true RAM, especially with 2gb storage.

I have bought the same Lenovo A850s (with s)!

I repartitioned the internal Memory to 2.5GB. I use EBRTweak here from forum. you can store all your Apps on it. I have about 160Apps installed.

O.K. It works very fast with or without repartition.
RAM shows allways 3GB. CPU Identifier says, a 4GB RAM Module are inside.

I tried about 10 diff. ROM - only AOSP works (without Cam)
I go back to the Orig. ROM
From the AOSP I use the modem.IMG and it works very fast!! SIM with both Cards on Orig. and AOSP ROM. The WiFi sometimes hangs on sleep - with AOSP Modem no longer Problem - switch on and it works sometimes with 135MBit/sec.

CWM Touch Recovery V6/ 2.5 from Carliv works too.
O.K. it is a fake but it runs without hangs or freezing. One of the Best is the Akku. You have 2-3 Days standby.

I have the same phone with identical build number and was happy with my unit until I think I delete some chinese app and started a problem with the dailer .When I start to call the screen begins to flash or turns black while the other person anwers. The phone works however the black screen makes it difficult to stop the call.
I would like to flash the orginal ROM again.

I looked for the links mentioned above but could not find.

I will appeciate any help
