Hello everybody, I'm new on the forum.
Thanks Cleopatra to share your work on our phone.

I have the grey model (version of model ...P44) since june and I had the bad idea to make the OTA updates.
I waited for gps to turn back, but there were 3 updates and still no compass.

So last week I tried to update with your last rom on needrom, because I though compass was included, I now understand that this is not the case.
I also thought that doing just an update with flashtool will not lose my data and config but it was a complete reset of the phone (not a problem but a loosing of time).

So what would be your advise now for me, if I want to reverse back to compass version (20170524 if i'm not mistaken).
Is it possible to install TWRP (3.1.0) without loosing my config and make a backup ?
Will it be possible then to flash 20170524 ROM within the new TWRP, because I understand there can be lot of problems ?

I can use the last SPflashtool I suppose ?

After installing this TWRP, are you able to restore a backup if you need to use the new TWRP ?

Actually I have installed the 20170524 ROM and TWRP 3.0.3 on my Thor E.

TWRP STEPS :

1) Tap on Settings --> About phone --> Tap Build number seven times.
Developer options --> USB debugging enabled.

2) Download SuperSU.zip and BusyBox.zip at the next link :

3) Unrar the rar. Copy the 2 zips onto your microSD.
4) Turn off the phone.
5) Open SP Flash Tool.
6) Unrar the TWRP rar.
7) Load the scatter file inside the twrp folder.
8) Select Download Only option.
9) Click Download.
10) Connect your turned off phone to the pc with USB cable.
11) When 100% disconnect the USB cable.
12) Enter onto twrp recovery (volume up + power buttons simultaneously).
13) Select the first white line and press volume down.

VITAL STEPS :

14) Tap Install, Select Storage, Micro SDCard, OK.
15) Tap on SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip
16) Swipe to confirm Flash.
17) Tap on Reboot.
18) Tap on the icon of SuperSU to activate it.
19) I strongly recommend you to install the next apk :

MAKE A FULL BACKUP - HOW TO

20) Tap on the Quick reboot icon.
21) Enable Supersu request.
22) Tap on recovery (onto Quick reboot).
23) Tap on Backup (main screen of twrp).
24) Select NVRAM, BOOT, SYSTEM and DATA.
25) Tap on Select Storage and tap on Micro SDCard.

Keep always in mind : the twrp backup always onto your microSD

26) Swipe to Backup.
27) When the backup process is finished, return to main menù of twrp.

MAKE A RESTORE - HOW TO

28) Select WIPE (in main menù of twrp).
29) Select ADVANCED WIPE.
30) Select all ... BUT NOT microSD.
31) Swipe to Wipe.
32) Return to main screen of twrp.
33) Select RESTORE.
34) Select your backup (onto MicroSD) and Swipe to Restore.
35) Reboot in normal mode.

Thank you for your help but I got my first problem

When I flash ROM THOR_E-2017_05_24 with SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1724.00.000, I choose firmware upgrade and I got a download OK BUT the phone cannot boot after that, nothing at all !

I flashed back ROM THOR_E-2017_08_09, I can boot again.

I did it twice with the same result : what am I doing wrong ? Confused

I'm waiting for your suggestions

Take a look at the last response by zusatzmetall (07/06/2017 - 8:44 pm).

At first I tried to give the link to the preloader in the last ROM. It did not work. Then I copied the preloader of the indicated ROM in the directory of the 20170524 ROM ans the phone boots.
I have installed TWRP. I'm now working on root ans backup.
Will try compas tomorrow :-)
