Just the annoying bug of all the earlier versions remains: the home-key works or does not work sporadic.

well, I was finally able to flash my phone with 1.0.7

instruction:

1. take distributive v.1.0.5
2, overwrite files recovery.img and system.img bz the same files from v.1.0.7
3. flash your phone with this mixed version.

everything works ok. touchscreen works ok. "about phone" writes it is v.1.0.7

unfortunately, the "home key" still does not work reliably.
Well, after a couple more discharge cycles, the battery is the same as before... I'm now in the 88% battery for more than a half an hour at 4.2v. No fix on battery after all.
Finally I've found the time (and the courage) to update: everything works flawlessly! For now, except for the camera aperture, I can't notice any difference.

I have tried your solution and it is ok.
All seems to be ok... touchscreen is ok now!
do forget to do a iMEI backup because a restore is needed.
For the app, a titanium backup is usefull
The cwm need to be installed

Nothing is changed at the camera's aperture. Probably there are so many complains about this (cause at their web site, they advertising as a 2.0 aperture camera) and they decide to change the number that is written at the exif info.
The camera is an IMX135 2.2 Sony exmor sensor with WRGB ("W" is for white) which produced very nice pictures at backlight conditions and not only this.
Somewhere here at the first pages there is a thread about the iNew camera.
well the sensor actually has nothing to do with the aperture, its the lens.
not much is really known about the stack lense that is used in this phone. if F2.0 or 2.8 noone really knows.
with a good sensor and a decent lens, you can take nice pictures, and that is obviously the case with the V3- no complaints here.

Its lens is 5 groups 5 elements (as advertised), 2.2 aperture at 28mm focal length (as advertised also).
Sony sells the complete module not just the sensor.
Now they changed the F2.2 on the exif info to match their description!

if you want touch CWM, keep recovery.img from the 1.0.7.
This is the touch CWM.
Should also work.
