thank you for the links...this is the first mediatek powered device i have had in a while so was looking forward to learning things like using this program to make TWRP for it...you spoiled my fun...LOL...no worries...would still like to know what the problem was for future reference though so if anybody does have the answer please feel free to post an explanation...thanks a lot
p.s. seems this TWRP has put the device into a bootloop with the latest firmware and an unlocked bootloader...will flash back original recovery...not sure what the problem is though
pps...seems the original recovery didn't help with the bootloop...had to flash back the full stock rom for it to reboot into the system ok...seems for now there is an issue with this TWRP.img on my device

Unfortunately, I have no any tablet to do some experiments to install a twrp.
However, it is not so easy to install a twrp on a tablet.
Someone have had your same issue with his tablet.
A possible solution could be to change the DPI into the build.prop.
I have unpacked your stock recovery.img
I have opened the default.prop (with Notepad ++)
In the string number 128 I have found the next string :
ro.sf.lcd_density=160
You have not to change the number 160 insidedefault.prop
Instead, you have to change the next string inside your build.prop :
ro.sf.lcd_density=160
It is the same string of default.prop (inside recovery.img)
but the build.prop is inside system.img
Please send me your system.img
I can not guarantee the success, it is just a hypothesis.
