Woohoo donation made and a Working port recieved for my mt6580. Great work Cleopatra and thanks for all the hard work you put in to this. Never would of achieved this without your help! Big thumbs up :-) Custom recovery with SuperSu ......... Awesome!!!!!!
Hello everyone.

I want to thank you for your help Cleopatra, it was a huge job.

I have a Tp-Link Neffos C5 Max, and put a recovery of an Eco model because it has the same SoC.

On the website of TP-Link, not the full ROM of the phone, just a .zip gets on the phone with an update manager.

For Cleo downloaded the .zip and worked hard until that managed to create a fully functional TWRP in Neffos.

I do not have enough words to thank them for their great work and knowledge.

Cleo, thank you very much and a kiss.

Greetings.
I've been searching high and low (from XDA to blog posts everything)!

Basically I'm trying to get 6.0 on my MTK6735 device which is a Cubot X17 and was wondering if this will work for this device. I'm not use to the MTK device as i use to be a galaxy s2 i9100 user so this is new playing fields for me.
What has your success rate been so far? I'm considering it for my Cubot X17 but I really don't want to brick it else I won't have a phone haha, So far i've successfully gone to 5.2 but i'm after going to 6.0

This is TWRP, not a ROM. You need to see about ported ROM first (which may involve using ported TWRP to flash).
@Cleopatra

Thanks a lot for you big and detailed report how to port the recovery.

I believe that it's important to start selecting a recovery to port with same CPU and same display resolution.

What do you think to add in the first post a list of starting recovery that anyone can use to port a recovery for his/her device. the list could be in the form

Brand model/CPU/GPU/flash size/display resolution - Ex.

Lenovo K50/MT6752/T760/16GB/1920x1080
[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

Ex. I'm looking abase recovery (TWRP 3.0.2) to port it for Komu K50

CPU MT6532/GPU T760/16 GB Flash/1280x720 pixel

Anyone can help me?
Hello, can use this guide to Pepsi P1S MTK6592? How do I backup stock ROM?
Well thank you.

@Cleopatra

Could you help me to create a TWRP recovery for Komu K50

CPU = MT6732
GPU = T760
Display = 1280x720
Flash = 16GB

Sorry but I didn't understand the needs of

- have the same GPU for original recovery and porting recovery
- have the same flash size for original recovery and porting recovery

Could you explain taht with details.

I know that it's importan display resolution (because TWRP is a graphic recovery) and CPU architecture.
Hi Cleopatra,
Is the method above to install TWRP is the same method to install to Meizu M3 Note? Mine is global version firmware. And, if the method is the same, is it possible too to recover original stock firmware again using TWRP?
